    Starface is a skincare brand, here to make treating breakouts, scars, and spots fun.

    We are a small (but growing) group of committed individuals looking for a collaborative, insightful social media marketer to be part of the Starface team. 

    Job Description:


    The Social Media Manager role at Starface is a content marketing and community management role that specializes in Social Media. It will be your mission to build a social calendar across platforms and empower a community of brand advocates to help spread the good word about the brand.

    You will manage the concepting and production of content to educate our community about Starface products and create a community and network of influencers who are constantly talking about Starface. You will be the eyes and ears on the ground and make sure everyone is taken care of. You will oversee conversations with our community and help us scale our seeding program. 

    Who You Are:


    You are highly proficient across social media channels including Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Snapchat.

    You have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience creating content and content strategy (ex: editorial roles or a comparable role at an agency)

    You understand the importance of storytelling and have led others to understand, as well.

    You want to work for an organization with a commitment and sustained focus to diversity, equity, anti-racism, and inclusion.

    You have experience and a desire to create content and commmunity outreach through an anti-racist/anti-oppression lens, furthering a deep understanding of social issues and highlighting the importance of diversity & inclusion. 

    You are empathetic, confident, curious, creative, patient, and eager to learn.

    You stay up-to-date with social trends and commentary. 

    You are fluent in Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    You are organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, with an ability to juggle multiple conversations and solve problems efficiently and thoughtfully.

    You are a creative problem solver with a “no task is too small” attitude.

    You are passionate about what you care about. 

    You aren’t afraid to explore the weird, the unique, and the extraordinary.

    You are familiar and knowledgeable with the skincare industry (not required, but preferred).



    Create and execute strategy for each social channel.

    Plan content marketing initiatives to educate community members and promote Starface products.

    Build a weekly social calendar with slated content for each day across all platforms.

    Write briefs for creative and work closely with designers and copywriters to product content.

    Work closely with CX and PR teams to create messaging strategy for customer support on social media.

    Manage our community on social media (paid and organic); respond to comments, direct messages and mentions. 

    Proactively build and foster a community of Starface brand ambassadors via social media.

    Manage Influencer outreach on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok to seed 100/150 products a week.

    Be open and ready to take on more. We are an early stage startup with ever-changing demands!

    Hours and Compensation:


    Full-time, remote role. Compensation commensurate on experience.
